Welcome to Helpora. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Helpora mobile application and website at gethelpora.com (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Helpora ("we", "our", or "us"). By using our Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Overview of the Service

Helpora is a care-coordination platform that connects families ("Requesters") with individuals ("Helpers") who provide non-clinical, everyday support services for elderly loved ones ("Beneficiaries"). Services include companionship visits, errand running, appointment escorts, and other non-medical assistance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Helpora. By creating an account, you represent that you are of legal age and have the authority to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and registering beneficiaries.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Service Requests

• Service requests are subject to availability and our operational hours (currently 9 AM – 7 PM IST, Monday through Saturday).
• We make reasonable efforts to match requests with available helpers but do not guarantee availability.
• Cancellation policies may apply to confirmed requests. Details are provided in the app at the time of booking.

5. Helper Verification

All helpers on our platform undergo a verification process, which includes identity checks. However, we cannot guarantee the conduct of any individual helper. We encourage you to report any concerns immediately through the app or by contacting support@gethelpora.com.

6. Non-Clinical Services Only

Helpora provides non-clinical, non-medical support only. Our helpers are not medical professionals and do not provide nursing care, medication administration, physical therapy, or any form of clinical treatment. For medical emergencies, contact emergency services immediately.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Harass, abuse, or threaten helpers, other users, or our staff.
• Provide false or misleading information.
• Attempt to circumvent the platform to engage helpers directly for the purpose of avoiding service fees.
• Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair its operation.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including text, graphics, logos, and software — are owned by Helpora and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Helpora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, helpers, or our business.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
